Benefits and Opportunities
The perks of being a Park Intern is that you get to spend your days inside and outside, all while enjoying your time in the outdoors. Some of the recreational opportunities that you can enjoy at the park include kayaking on the lake, playing a round of mini golf, and enjoying a tour guide on a UTV. One of the perks that I have enjoyed while being a Park Intern is the networking you make with the people who visit the park. They tell you stories, sharing experiences, and if you are lucky, you just might run into an Aggie who can offer you contact information. As a Park Intern, you are paid bi-weekly. Room and board are not provided by the organization.

Achievements
An achievement that I have succeeded in is helping young adolescents how to properly kayak during a program session. When teaching the youth the proper technique and the saftey guidelines that they needed to follow, it was a great feeling seeing the youth use the proper technique that I was giving them be put into action when they were in the water.
